Symbol Editor: "Cycle Arc Editing Mode" causes segmentation fault

Description

In the Symbol Editor, drawing an arc and then selecting "Cycle Arc Editing Mode" from the right-click context menu consistently causes a segmentation fault.

Expected result The arc editing mode cycles (e.g. from arc-by-endpoints to arc-by-center or similar) without crashing.

Actual result KiCad crashes with a segmentation fault (SIGSEGV) after a few seconds.

Frequency Reproduced 4 times out of 4 attempts, with different libraries and different symbols. The arc size and position do not matter.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open KiCad Symbol Editor
  2. Create a new library (File → New Library)
  3. Create a new symbol in that library
  4. Select the Arc tool from the toolbar
  5. Click to place the first endpoint of the arc
  6. Click to place the second endpoint of the arc
  7. Right-click on the arc → select "Cycle Arc Editing Mode"

Additional notes

KiCad installed from PPA ppa:kicad/kicad-10.0-releases. Debug symbols (kicad-dbgsym) not available for this PPA, so a full backtrace could not be obtained.
