Variants: Not possible to take changes in footprint back
Description
I tried out the new variants management in KiCad 10, hoping for an easy solution and it looks great! It is much easier to use than I ever expected. Nevertheless, during trial-and-error testing, i found something that I think is a bug: I added some variants to a resistor, including one with a different footprint. Im Pcbnew, I then have two footprints - what actually makes sense. But when I wanted to change to footprint back to its initial footprint, this is not possible - I can pick any other footprint, but the initial one. I didn't find a way to erase this doubled footprint.
Steps to reproduce
- Add a version in new KiCad 10
- Change a footprint in the added version (refresh Pcbnew)
- Changing it back to the original one in the symbol's menu
- You can choose it, click ok, but next time you open the menu it's the previous footprint
