Reference numbers are lost after migration from version 8.0.9 to 9.0.7

Hi,

I have created a project with Kicad version 8.0.9 and wanted to move to version 9.07.

After opening the project and one of the files (one of them is included) all reference number are lost.

Update: Current nightly (Version: 9.99.0-5610-gca750804ac, release build) works.
