[Feature request] Footprint/PCB Editor: add quality checks for stencil/solder paste

Description

It would be nice if a check in the Footprint Editor and as well in the PCB Editor DRC could be added to analyse the solder paste aperture / stencil quality.

started discussion in Kicad Forum https://forum.kicad.info/t/custom-drc-for-stencil-aspect-ratio-1-5-area-ration-0-66/65641

All those checks are depending on the chosen stencil thickness.

  • verify Aspect Ratio (Area/Thickness) > 1.5 (or other custom value)
  • verify Area Ratio (Area/Wall) > 0.66 (or other custom value)

image

  • verify chosen Solder Paste Type => Default Ball Rule >= 5 (at least 5 balls in smallest opening of stencil)

other potential checks:

  • verify not having drills in paste
