Periodic mikro-freeze on Debian

Description

The interface (EESchem and PCBNew) freezes about every second for a short time which makes working quite cumbersome. This is new in v9 and happens with Wayland and X11. Best seen in Video:

(I pan constantly in the video, looks a bit stuttery because of frame rate)

Maybe related to #20060 (closed), but happens no matter if the search field is open or not.

Edit: Does not happen in empty project, seems to be only the case with projects converted from v8. Machine does not peak in CPU or RAM load.
