Footprint preview not working
Description
Footprint preview is not working in footprint assignment window. If I restart KiCad it works, but then footprints are not appearing in the PCB editor view. Seems like footprints either show up in the footprints assignment preview or in PCB editor, depending on which was open first in the given session.

Steps to reproduce
- Open any schematic with at least one component
- Open the Footprints assignment window
- Open the footprint preview window
- Select a component to assign a footprint to
- Select any footprint
BUG: the footprint is not displayed in the preview window EXPECT: footprint preview should show the selected footprint
