Cannot select polygon in schematic editor

Description

Polygons cannot be selected in the schematic editor unless one of the outline segments is selected. This only affects the current head of the development branch. The 8.0 branch behaves as expected.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the project below in KiCad.
2. Launch the schematic editor.
3. Attempt to select either filled polygon by LMB clicking in the filled area. Observe the polygon cannot be selected as expected.
