Description
When importing a Cadence demo board, some silkscreen and assembly graphical elements are not located properly.
See pictures below.
Cadence:
KiCad:
Especially take note of the QFP, which has an irregular courtyard shape. That may be the easiest to notice.
Here are the layers you see, which may have different names but correspond between the CAD tools. F.Silkscreen B.Silkscreen F.Courtyard (from PACKAGE GEOEMTERY/PLACE_BOUND_TOP) B.Courtyard (from PACKAGE GEOEMTERY/PLACE_BOUND_BOTTOM) F.Fab B.Fab
Steps to reproduce
- Open PCB Editor in standalone mode.
- Import the attached board and check out the layers noted above. While on some board imported from a Fabmaster Cadence export the graphical layers are correct, on this demo Cadence board they are not located properly.
