kicad crashes on context switch when displaying a submenu

Kicad crashes when subwindow is open

Steps to reproduce

when opening any subwindow, for example footprint properties in the footprint editor and switching to another application, for example chrome. Kicad will crash. This happens consistently on my Macbook Air M1.
