macOS 12.1 (Intel) Crash when closing Kicad 6.0.1

Description

Kicad crashes on program exit (often but not always). It doesn't matter whether I Cmd-Q to quit with PCB or schematic open or just the project manager.

Steps to reproduce

It just happens, I can't work out any particular thing I'm doing that causes it.

So far just testing with one project.
