build one working compost toilet in K22-1# with extension posibilities for further compost toilets above
The current plan is to but a fitting Heizöltank in the room in K22-#0. This should be enogh for about 7-10 people using it constantly mainly for pooping with little peeing. Tasks related:
-
organise the tank (maybe just on of the ones we already have and that were used for the gray water collection. Otherwise get one from ebay kleinanzeigen (or often offered there) -
insulate the tank (maybe with packing material we already have?) otherwise organise some other material, but also this is not top priority -
make an opening to the door-side of the tank -
but a mesh made of old water piping material inside (the material will compost on top and will sicker though the mesh over time when it is ready) -
make an opening on the bottom of the tank and connect this to the waste-water of K22-#0 (this is the overflow if the toilet becomes to moist. The non-stinky "pisherol" can then flow down the drain) -
install a ventilation system (inflow is the opening in the bottom, outflow is a rain-pipe or something similar going outside and up a few meters. -
break thogh the ceiling of K22-#0, which is then the floor of K22-#1, only a few rather small holes: one for stack of paint buckets (where the poop falls though), one for pee/waste water and one for fresh water (20mm PE). -
in K22-#1 build the actual "toilet". this can either be just a chair with a hole or some boards in a nice hight to sit on. The fancy version would be to have a toilet-seat than can slide between two positions: peeing position with a aslant bucket connected directly to the drain (with a standard sink-sifon) and pooping postion with the paint buckets that go to the tank. -
install a sink (idealy the waste-water would be used directly for flushing the pee-bucket) -
install light -
preperations for another toilet in K22-#2 would include maybe already installing some vertical beams to the sides of K22-#1 so another (probably costom built) tank could be placed in the upper third of K22-#1 or at least leave space for these vertical beams
special task: talk to Christian Kuhts to ask about his oppinion on these ideas
