Find a good solution to handle nice, durable food

establish food-awareness-system (maybe season rationing?)
Specific issues with status quo:
- too much nice, durable food is used while fresh food rots away (Janina)
- nobody knows what 'too much' actually means (Janina)
- nobody knows what kinds of food are nice to whom (Janina)
- we want to protect us from becoming avaricious (Janina)
- people, especially newer people, are disincentivized from cooking due to criticism of ingredient choices during/after cooking (Doug)
