Change of default user from vagrant to kali

Dear team,

is there a reason to change the default user from vagrant to kali in 16662629?

As it is documented in https://www.vagrantup.com/docs/boxes/base.html#default-user-settings, the default user should be vagrant to have a common ground. As the kali box was set up like this before, I ask myself, why to change to the kali user? At least this should be documented somewhere, as it may cause strange behavior for users relying on the fact being "vagrant" after vagrant ssh. On https://www.kali.org/docs/introduction/default-credentials/ it still is stated, that vagrant:vagrant is used for the Vagrant box:
