Bug? Won't accept any El Capitan installer on any system.
Hi,
Is there some issue with the newest version of macOS patcher?
I have previously in it's older versions been able to make it work but now I get errors with everything I try. I want to patch a MacBook 4,1 and a MacMini 1,1 (upgraded to a 2,1).
I have followed the instructions exactly and re-read - tried to patch an El Capitan 10.11.6 installer with the macOS Patcher.sh but no matter what installer app I use it says: "Installer support check failed - Run this tool with a supported Installer".
I have tried installer apps from Archive.org, directly from apple.com (installed via http://updates-http.cdn-apple.com/2019/cert/061-41424-20191024-218af9ec-cf50-4516-9011-228c78eda3d2/InstallMacOSX.dmg) and another I had also downloaded from Apple about a year ago. They all work on supported Macs and are not customized but directly from Apple.
I have tried to patch on a MBP 2015 on Monterey, High Sierra and El Capitan and on a MacBook 4,1 running Lion.
If I skip the installer check and directly try to patch a preinstalled El Captain 10.11.6 partition with the patch.sh on my MBP 2015 or the MacBook 4,1 I get the System support check failed - Run this tool on a supported system? Again I also tried this on Lion, High Sierra and Monterey.
Any ideas?
