SGB games occasionally glitch out when restoring savestate

I am using the SGB rev 2 ROM (MD5 b15ddb15721c657d82c5bab6db982ee9
), and it happens with any GB game.
After a savestate has been glitched, it will continue being glitched indefinitely. Note that the glitched part is saving, not loading - if I attempt to load the last state before it got glitched, it will glitch too. It's also not affected by app restarts, but resetting the game does fix it (until it happens again after enough saves/loads).
jgrf and bsnes are both from main, I just built them. I was previously testing it with my own port, and there it also happens with 2.0.1.
OS: fedora 42 (toolbox container).
I don't know if it happens with the old bsnes v115, but it doesn't seem to be the case in SameBoy alone.
