New update popup in Write window blanks out entire message editor

Markdown Here Revival: 4.0.2 Thunderbird Version: Thunderbird 128.3.3 20241021172958 Operating system: win x86-64

I don't have much info about this bug, but I was in the middle of writing an email and got a notice at the bottom of my email that Markdown Here Revival was updated and I could view the update notes, but it made my entire email body blank. I can't scroll, can't toggle on/off markdown rendering, and when I quit is says Thunderbird is in the process of saving a message.
