Listed in log. I went through a long process of eliminating mods until I arrived at BCLib, which I partly narrated in the DH discord https://discord.com/channels/881614130614767666/1189169960778469387

  • Describe the bug

I posted the same issue over on BCLib.

With BCLib, BetterNether, and BetterEnd installed in my modpack, Distant Horizons renders any water LODs with special biome colours (like lukewarm ocean) with a glitchy grid in single player. In multiplayer, it renders them with the same grid at first, then updates the LODs after a while to be a plain white colour with no grid.

Examples: Single player: 2023-12-26_09.38.09

Multiplayer: https://youtu.be/OXoCAaPWTak

  • Steps to reproduce the bug:
  1. Load overworld with mods installed together, looking at water with a special biome colour, like minecraft:lukewarm_ocean. The grid pattern is visible on LODs right away.
  2. Wait. Eventually the water LODs turn from the correct colours to plain white. Also, the grid goes away on the LODs that turn white:

  1. Sometimes teleporting to a distant area then returning made the colour change start faster.
