Use cases ?

This sounds really interesting.

Can you give me an example of use cases ? Is it like a canvas ( Omni directional ) so you can touch scroll in X and y at the same time ? So you could build a spreadsheet or a canvas painting app ?

I ask because I am thinking of making a spreadsheet type of widget for my general needs.
