Cursor not moving

hideway and intercept-tools are installed, I've followed the instructions for Ubuntu here. However, running hideaway 4 10000 10000 -512 -256 does not produce any change. After 4 seconds, the terminal prints two quotes '' without the mouse moving.

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 with Gnome-shell 3.36.2 on Wayland. Not sure if I'm missing something or that's a bug?
