@prkos Gather up various feedback about Inkscape purpose, audience, direction, heart and soul (@prkos started on the thread popular in dev list, Ryan's got survey results, must forage forums, where else can we pull data from?)
write a detailed tutorial about how to create new templates, with cleaning up the code before committing
write a page how a non-programmer can contribute to repo (fork? no build and test?)
We need clear instructions about:
how Inkscape branding can be used
copy voice guidelines (product names and descriptions, how to entice customers to purchase)
do we always set the same design price (I always set $3.00)?
a list of products we want to see
do we publish some designs on the Spreadshirt shop? Wider audience?
Currently it's very unclear how far we can go with modifying the logo and tagline. Is the circle around the mountain ok, any other shape, do we prefer logo with text, with tagline, or we can go either way and let the customer decide? Can I use tagline alone (maybe put a very small inkscape.org in the corner of a pillow while tagline is spread all over)?
Is the small void in ink below the mountain supposed to be knocked out? So the snow peak is always white except when logo is white, but that little hole isn't printed out as white?
These are all considerations usually found in a graphic book of standards for a brand. Voice/atmosphere should also be defined. Do we present Inkscape as playful or serious, about standards or about artistic expression etc? What keywords are appropriate in products? The most important piece if information is to know your audience, who are the people who would buy these products, what is their demographics? Do we need a survey on this?
