Vectors' Meeting April 2023

Time & Place:

• April 8, 2023, 5PM-6PM UTC (See: https://inkscape.org/*inkscape-vectors/calendar/) - Attention, this is one hour later than it was in winter, due to summer time. Needs to be agreed upon, else we will meet one hour earlier.

Vectors Meeting Agenda (1 Hour)

• Introductions (up to 5 min) and approval of new members
• would any of the attendants be willing to write a protocol to send to the mailing list? (suggested by @zigzagmlt )
• who would like to go to the board meeting and report about Vectors status tomorrow?
• Would anyone here like to take on co-responsibility for the Vectors repositories on GitLab (task: allowing new members in, mostly)?
• Does anyone still need dev access to our Gitlab projects?
• Does anyone still need access to office.inkscape.org?

Outreach items needed urgently - these can (and if at all possible, also should, be tackled in the weeks before the meeting):

1. Multiple persons recently left the project, or their position. A thank you article might be a good idea:

• Nathan left (was head of Bug Wranglers team for multiple years, membership started on March 2 2019)
• Chris left Board (2017 - 2023)
• Jabier left / is leaving (mainly LPE and user interface development, > 3000 commits, first commit Fri Dec 14 01:01:57 2012)
• Ryan taking a break (but that one is not final, so probably not for a news article)
• Bryce has left quite some time ago, but we could still thank him now?
• Combine that with a call to join

2. Hackfest: Article / post status ( @dehesselle @zigzagmlt )
3. Contest: winner to be published Tues., April 11, 2023
4. GSOC status: student application period ended April 4
5. GSOC (last year) summary post ( @zigzagmlt )
6. GTK4 migration hiring announcement ( @joneuhauser + ?) end of upcoming week
