Release note images check list

Synopsis

For the Inkscape 1.2 release notes, we'd still like to show off some more of the new features. Some images that already exist also need to be updated, as the feature was changed in some visible way.

Requirements:

• images / gifs must be smaller than 2 MB each
• images should focus on the feature to demonstrate (no need for full-screen recordings if a section of the canvas or a dialog would be enough to show the feature)
• for consistency, would be good to record / screenshot with new default settings
• if possible, use the latest version - the release candidate will become available for download this weekend (link not known yet)

These are the pictures I'm suggesting we add / re-record (if you want to add others / more, that's fine, too!)

• Page tool: one or more gifs that demo creating a new page, labelling it, moving objects around with it (or not), maybe leafing through pages with the status bar item - whatever you think makes sense to show.
• Selector tool: gifs that exist need re-doing, because the middle handle has been removed.
• Export dialog: new batch export would be wonderful to show. Different formats, sizes, names - so cool. Also pages and layers tab and preview area.
• Gradient editor: images all have different heights. It's super difficult to align them in any way that doesn't overstrain the eye. It would be cool if they could be resized to all have the same size, or re-recorded. Not extremely necessary, but would help with release notes looking good.
• Editable markers: Would be nice if rotation were included in the gif
• Layers and objects dialog with layer colors: could use a nice screenshot
• SVG font editor: Would be cool to have a screenshot of it filled with a font. Let me know if you need a file, I think I have some lying around (with Inkscape icons as letters)
• Clipart importer: image needed that shows it - (NOT WORKING (Tim))
• Node deselection / inverted node selection feature (see inkscape/inkscape!2871 (merged)) could have a nicer gif with visible keyboard shortcuts and no black border on the left side.

Might be I'll add some more if I find something new while going through the commits list, or you can add some if you think they're missing! Let me know when there are usage / feature finding questions!
