Attempt to fix windows builds

After careful investigation of deps I conclude that some dependency upgrades are responsible for the breakage. After much more investigation and a few rebuilds, the libraries in this MR look very suspicious.

Let's first see how the CI handles this branch, then we'll see about merging.

Note that the fix itself is a terrible solution, but hopefully this solution is only temporary, I plan to ping gnome people to see what happened if this works /cc @ede123
