Harmonize paths of files in Windows packages with paths used on Linux (e.g. use /bin for binaries)
Currently there are some OS-specific path differences in our Windows packages. These are known to frequently cause portability and relocation issues for many of our dependencies (that are not always easy to spot and usually not easy to fix). Also it introduces an unnecessary inconsistency between OSs.
We should therefore harmonize paths to common standards, notably
Move binaries from root folder into
Move Inkscape's shared files from
- Update packaging to account for the changes
(feel free to add more if you recall any)
This could obviously cause some breakage downstream (e.g. for people who wrote custom scripts / installers / etc. that depend on the current directory layout), so this issue is also about collecting potential issues and ensure a smooth transition. Please give feedback if this change would adversely affect you and/or if you're aware of any specific issues this switch might cause (and how they might be avoided).
