Strange translation units in Transform -> Matrix GUI

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• create a path "M 0 0"
• Open Transform window (Ctrl+Shift+M)
• Enter matrix (translate in x direction by 1)

1 0 1
0 1 0

What happened?

path is M 0.26458333,0

What should have happened?

path is M 1,0

Inkscape Version and Operating System:
