Node editting way slower while object properties dialog is open

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• draw a path using calligraphy tool
• switch to node tool
• start editing nodes on previously created path
• open object properties dialog and keep it open
• start editing nodes on previously edited path

What happened?

Node editing is slow, way slower than with object properties dialog closed.

What should have happened?

Path editing should have been smooth and fast, regardless of whether the object properties dialog is open or closed.
