Keyboard shortcut for Object to path not working (MacOS)

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• open an svg file containing some polyline object, like a simple square
• select the Edit paths by nodes cursor
• select the polyline
• press the keyboard shortcut for Object to path (cmd+shift+c)

What happened?

Nothing happens.

What should have happened?

The nodes should be visible and possible to move
