(snap) Saving without specifying the svg extension (.svg) doesn't add it back
Summary:
I'm a graphic designer, I use Inkscape on a daily basis. Though, version 1.2 is showing many issues on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. I'm using Snap version since the one supported on the ubuntu official repository is still Inkscape 1.1.2.
Main issue: 4. The export path is not correct (for instance, my home folder is shown as /home/user/snap/inkscape/10442), (similar to #2490 and #1507 (closed))
Other issues (these are more important, but are tracked elsewhere):
- I cannot open an SVG file by double clicking on it from nautilus file browser. The only way I can open an SVG file is to open Inkscape and then click on file»open, tracked in #3649
- I cannot save files without specifying manually the .SVG extension even if the SVG filetype is selected from the dropdown list, cloned to #4016
- I cannot export a png file without specifying manually the PNG extension even if the PNG filetype is selected from the dropdown list
- The export path is not correct (for instance, my home folder is shown as /home/user/snap/inkscape/10442), (similar to #2490 and #1507 (closed))
- I cannot drop an image into the canvas (either jpg or png), tracked in #3624
Steps to Replicate
- Open Inkscape
- Open export dialog
What happened?
- export path is something like /home/user/snap/inkscape/10442
What should have happened?
- default export path should be /home/user
