Corners (Fillet/Chamfer) LPE - wrong radius - diameter used instead?

In recent Inkscape 1.2.1 the Live Path Effect (LPE) called "Corners (FIllet/Chamfer)" has wrong radius value in my eyes. Please check out the following screenshots. Ive drawn a simple path, copied it and applied that LPE with radius 5mm. After measuring the distance, the radius is 10mm. This makes no sense.
