Requirement of pressing Set in Object properties

I wondered why its necessary to press "Set" everytime I change the object properties of a node. We work very frquently with those and an the requirement to press it all the time is annoying and it gets forgotten very fast. I would appreciate an option that make the properties persisting automaticly when save the document or when switching the node

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• select any node in the XML Editor
• modify description in the "Object Properties"
• save the document
• switch the node

What happened?

It doesn't get saved.

What should have happened?

The description should be saved

Inkscape Version and Operating System:

• Inkscape Version: 1.1.2
• Operating System version: Windows

Cannot attach an example file since they are from the company. It should be reproducable with every document.

Note

Maybe this is different with the version 1.2, but we have other problems with v1.2 so we cant switch.
