Inkscape 1.2 macOS Undo/Redo, guide and grid options grayed out in menus

Summary:

The Undo and Redo options are functional when selected via keyboard shortcuts. However, the menu options for those two items are always grayed out.

Speculation: this may be related to #3414

Steps to reproduce:

• Open Inkscape
• Draw two rectangles
• Note that the Edit menu has the option ⌘Z grayed out.
• Use ⌘Z to undo adding the second rectangle.

What happened?

The Edit menu has the two options Undo ⌘Z and Redo ⇧⌘Z grayed out. However, one can use the keyboard shortcuts to both undo and redo an action.

What should have happened?

Either or both menu items should be selectable (not grayed out) when the corresponding action is available.

Version info

Observed on macOS Monterey, Apple M1, on the following versions:

Inkscape 1.2-alpha (0bd5040e, 2022-02-05)
Inkscape 1.2-beta (9f51c5e, 2022-04-18)
Inkscape 1.2-rc (c5f7d0c, 2022-05-11)

Issue is not present on a prior 1.2 dev build that I tested, however the undo/redo commands are (for other reasons) only partially functional in this build:

Inkscape 1.2-dev (9ee32be, 2021-06-19)

Issue is not present on Inkscape 1.1.2:

Inkscape 1.1.2 (b8e25be8, 2022-02-05)
