Unable to export figure to EPS if non-zero non-one opacity on object and a large canvas is used (no problems with fill/stroke-opacity)

Summary:

Unable to save an SVG file to PS / EPS.

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• open NewRoad2.svg
• Save as EPS file

What happened?

An error message is displayed, without further information.

On the CLI, additional info is shown:

** (org.inkscape.Inkscape:15720): CRITICAL **: 20:39:44.228: error while rendering output: invalid value (typically too big) for the size of the input (surface, pattern, etc.)
Failed to save PS/EPS/PDF to: NewRoad2.eps

What should have happened?

At least a better error message should be displayed. The page dimensions of 13000x9600 px don't seem excessive.
