Geometric construction tool: Always resets to 'x' after being used

Summary:

The (unpublished/unstable/experimental) geometrical construction tool always returns to 'no geometric tool is active' (x) setting after each time it has been used, making it impossible to use the tool multiple times to construct the same thing without a break in the workflow.

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape development version
• switch to geometric construction tool
• select a type of construction
• click and drag a couple times to effectuate that construction
• try to do the same construction again

What happened?

The tool is inactive, and I need to select a new construction method again before I can continue working with it.

What should have happened?

The setting should be kept.
