Icons in menus disappear randomly

If I set icons to be always visible on menus in settings, then start to play with menus the icons disappear randomly. See attached video for more info.

Steps to replicate

  1. Delete preferences
  2. Start Inkscape and change Preferences (in the Interface > Theme tab) as follows All icon options set to Smaller Show icons in Menu set to Yes
  3. Restart Inkscape
  4. Open a menu (File, Edit, View, etc.)
  5. Hover over different options in the menubar to activate different menuss

What happened

Icons in one menu will disappear completely. They may come back again after switching to a different menu
