Pattern Along Path causes Inkscape to hang
Steps to reproduce:
Setup (an attached file is provided where these steps have been performed)
- Create a path
- Copy it
- Create a new path
- Apply the "Pattern along path" effect to the second path
- Use "link path in clipboard" to apply the first path as the pattern
- Move the path with the effect somewhere else in the canvas
Bug:
- Have the "select and transform objects" tool enabled (the one that is selected by F1)
- Select the path with the effect (the orange one in the attached file)
- Click on "edit on canvas" in the effect settings
- This causes the path being used as a pattern to gain a blue outline
- and a new green outline of that object appears with the same transformation as the path with the effect applied, this outline has editable nodes
- Click on the object itself, the one with the blue outline (the object is black in the attached file)
- Inkscape hangs
What happened?
- Inkscape hangs, stops responding to any input
What should have happened?
- nothing I suppose
