Feedback Link on website missing?
As a recent donator to the inkscape project and a keen supporter of open source software, when i discovered a feature i'd like in your software, the first thing i wanted to do was suggest it to you.
As a user visiting the website there is no intuitively accessible feature request form or link. (i would place the link in community or contribute menu section)
Instead i had to go to your irc chat (registration required - another step required to leave feedback, making it less likely that people will suggest features) to be told to visit launchpad.net/inkscape (not intuitive for non developers)
and that it is to be filed as a bug report. (no - its a feature request, not a bug report)
and to access this platform i have had to register in an attempt to see how to suggest feature and again it is not an intuitive platform .
I have now finally completed my feature recommendation , what a pain in the ass.
The beauty of open source isn’t exclusive to developers, its the users that can also help to craft the product and make it the best it can be, but you have to let them!
