I don’t receive the confirmation email to subscribe to the new mailing lists

Steps to reproduce:

• Go to the mailman site on https://lists.inkscape.org/
• Select the list you want to subscribe to: in my case, announce and translator
• Type email address and name, then submit (pressing the Enter key when one of the input fields has focus)

Second process:

• Go to the mailman site on https://lists.inkscape.org/
• Create an account, or login if you already created it

What happened?

First it says it sent me a confirmation email. I didn’t receive anything. Now it gives the following json error:

{"title": "409 Conflict", "description": "Subscription request already pending"}

This is written at the top of the page in a red frame.

Second process:

It says that a confirmation email has been sent. If I try to log in again, it says it again. But I never receive anything.

What should have happened?

I should have received the confirmation email to enable my account and my subscriptions.

Version and Operating System:

Firefox Quantum, 67.0.1 (64 bits), for Arch Linux (but my system is Manjaro Linux).
