Pasting object sets its opacity to its parent's if previously unset (different behavior to duplicate)
Migrated from: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1810030
When working with the bezier/straightline tool to make filled objects, the opacity setting of that object is overwritten with the opacity of the layer if the object is duplicated (copy-pasted).
Steps to reproduce:
- Open inkscape (with default preferences)
- Create a rectangle
- Open Layers toolbar (Shift+Ctrl+L)
- Open Fill and Stroke (Shift+Ctrl+F)
- Set opacity of the current layer to 50%.
- copy and paste the rectangle.
- observe the opacity setting in the fill and stroke pane change.
What happened?
The opacity in the fill-and-stroke toolbar changes to 50%. Well you can see it visible change also to half of half. I have also tested this with Rectangles and square tool (F4), but the problem only exist with the bezier/straightline tool. Note also that Duplicate (Ctrl+D) does not have this problem.
What should have happened?
The opacity of the object should be preserved when copying the object.
Inkscape Version and Operating System:

- Operating System: Windows 10
