[Feature Request] "Repeated, cutted" option for "Pattern Along Path" LPE
Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape
- If you try to use a repeating equilateral (round or square) texture as a pattern brush for "Pattern Along Path" LPE in "Repeated" mode, you may find that the result pattern is pretty ugly, because the used fragment is repeated too often. There is one working solution here - you can use elongated textures, then the repeats will be infrequent and inconspicuous. But there is one problem.
What happened?
For this purpose, only one of the existing modes is suitable - "Repeated". But this mode only shows an integer number of fragments without cutting them. As a result, long paths have an interrupted texture, and on short paths the texture is not displayed at all:
What should have happened?
Obviously, in this case, it would be best to add another one mode - "Repeated, cutted". In this mode Inkscape can simply cut the texture fragment at the end of the path.
Inkscape Version and Operating System:
- Inkscape Version: 1.0beta2 (or any other version)
- Operating System: Ubuntu
- Operating System version: 19.10
P.S.: By the way, here is my topic about "Pattern Along Path" LPE improvement (using it as vector brushes).
