I am using inkscape, also used other software like Blender, 3ds max, rhino, illustrator, photoshop. i am sharing some UX improvement that i feel must be there apart from coding in inkscape.

like when we can go inside node editing simply by double clicking but to come out of the tool, our mind have to think about where our hand is and then stretch it to corner to press Esc key, which breaks the workflow of using keyboard shortcuts (which all pro user setup their own).

This may not be observed by common person but as a pro user i feel this thing and hence i downloaded Auto-Hotkey which allow you to swap any key. After some testing, i find out that Ctrl+Right mouse button is most suitable to quickly come out of any action and deselect everything (Feels like coming back to home) and start to think about what to do next.

currently Ctrl+Right mouse button work for zoom which be done simply by scrolling or Alt+Right mouse button. I hope you people will understand and try it, link to download Auto-hotkey to test it- https://www.autohotkey.com/ & file to load Swap_Keys.ahk
