Text is no longer converted to group of paths when using Object to path.

Summary:

Text should convert to a group of paths when the operation "Object to path" is used.

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape
  • Using the Text tool, type a word in a script font that overlaps characters.
  • With the text object selected Use Menu: Path>Object to path

What happened?

The text is converted to a single compound path, similar to using Path>Union.

What should have happened?

The text should be converted to a group of paths, so it can be ungrouped and the paths unioned to remove compound path overlaps.
