inkscape crashes when trying to run extension from the command line

Running in windows10 from the commandline:

...when running inkscape from the command line using --actions=org.evilmad.text.hershey test.svg -o test.pdf, I get a segfault Emergency save activated! Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now. If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at https://inkscape.org/report with a detailed description of the steps leading to the crash, so we can fix it. ** Message: 00:19:26.725: Error: Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now.
