inkscape crashes when trying to run extension from the command line

Running in windows10 from the commandline:
...when running inkscape from the command line using --actions=org.evilmad.text.hershey test.svg -o test.pdf, I get a segfault Emergency save activated! Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now.
