XML dialog doesn't refresh properly after undocking and docking / changing the docking position

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• draw two rectangles
• open the XML dialog and another dialog
• grab the title of the XML dialog and dock it somewhere else
• click on a list item in the XML dialog

What happened?

The on-canvas selection does not update, neither does the attribute list in the XML dialog.

If I select a different object in the XML dialog and delete an attribute there, the entire originally selected object is deleted instead. (I was surprised that didn't crash immediately!)

What should have happened?

XML dialog stays responsive.
