loading arc path with many decimal points crashes

Summary:

Opening the attached svg file causes inkscape to crash with no errors or information, it just closes.

If I trim off the excessive decimal points in a text editor inkscape will open the file with out issue. While the file was not created with inkscape, it does open without issues in firefox and edge. So I'd have at least have hoped for an error message rather than the application appearing to crash.

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape
  • open the attached svg file.test__evil_small.svg

What happened?

inkscape vanished. When run with the backtrace script it generated the following: inkscape_backtrace.txt

What should have happened?

the file opened or showed an error saying the file was invalid.
