Path outline doesn't clear on leving path

Summary:

Setting the "Flash path" in Node tool preferences should allow the user always to have a path outline visible, while the mouse is still hovering over the path. That works. The problem is that it never gets cleared on mouse-out. The last hovered path stays visible, no matter where the cursor is.

What should have happened?

As soon as the mouse cursor leaves the path, the outline should be cleared.
