"Internal error encountered, Inkscape will close now" - trying to add point onto gradient

Summary:

... Inkscape encounters an internal error and will close when trying to add a new point to a gradient using the create and edit gradients function.

Steps to reproduce:

• Installed 1.2.2 Inkscape on 7th Dec
• Was able to edit gradients to the 13th Dec
• On 13th Dec, tried to edit gradient and encountered error
• Reinstalled 1.2.2 Inkscape on 15th
• open Inkscape
• Create object - rectangle or freeform doesn't matter
• Fill with gradient
• click Create and edit mesh tool - cursor changes
• Double click mesh line to add point
• Error occurs and inkscape closes
• Document is autosaved
