PDF export. Mask partially cuts image on 4th page and on 5th page the image is not visible

Summary:

When exporting a multipage pdf file, in the resulting file a masked image is partialy cut off on 4th page and not visible on 5th page.

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape
  • create new document
  • select "Create and edit document pages" icon
  • select "Create new page" icon several times until the document has 5 pages
  • drag and drop an external jpg image on the first page
  • create a rectangle overlapping the image
  • use a gradient fill on the rectangle
  • Push down the rectangle under the image using the "Lower section one step" icon
  • Select the rectangle and the image and "Set a mask"
  • Copy and paste the masked image on the other 4 pages
  • Select File -> Save a copy... -> Save as type -> pdf and Save
  • Open the saved pdf file

What happened?

The PDF has the masked image on the first 3 pages. On the 4th page the image is partially cut off. On the 5th page there's no image visible.

What should have happened?

The image is correctly visible on the 5 pages
