Star tool handles not updated when switching between star/polygon

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape

• create star

• make star a polygon

• look at handles

• create polygon

• make polygon a star

• look at handles

What happened?

The additional handle for the star does not go away when I switch to polygon.

The additional handle for the star does not appear when I switch to star.

When I switch to a different tool, or deselect the object, the handles update.

What should have happened?

Handles should update according to the selected shape.
