Image load fails when large png is embadded in svg

Summary:

Image load fails when loading the attached SVG, but browser can open it. SVG contains tag with large PNG file encodded in base64.

Steps to reproduce:

• unzip attachment
• open Inkscape
• load invalid-svg.svg invalid-svg.zip

What happened?

Inkscape shows red X over the screen.

What should have happened?

Should open this image like in Firefox:
