can't open pdf files that I create using "save as" or save a copy"

Summary:

The pdf files I create with inkscape can't be read by any pdf reader

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• create something in a single page or in multiple pages
• "save as" or "save a copy" to anyfile.pdf

What happened?

can't open the file with any pdf reader. It says :"Impossible to open the file. The type of file image svg (image/svg+xml) isn't supported".

Only inkscape is able to open it

What should have happened?

the file should open normally in any pdf reader
